Rabbi Moishe Steigmann, Leader, High Holiday Services

Moishe Steigmann, The Mindful Rabbi, is a past High Holiday service leader in Brooklyn and Seder leader in both Brooklyn and Manhattan for Ohel Ayalah. After years of working for and with Rabbi Judith Hautpman, he was very excited and honored to take over directing Ohel Ayalah in early 2023, overseeing its operations, and running services through his non-profit organization, Own Your Judaism.

Rabbi Steigmann creates easeful, joyful, and social programming for anyone who wants to experience Judaism. He also speaks, hosts livestream conversations, and offers Jewish Life Coaching and organizational consultation. An ordained rabbi with a masters in education, he has been the rabbi of two synagogues, one community Jewish day school, and one Jewish camp.

Born and raised in Milwaukee, Rabbi Steigmann is a proud father of two children, loves sports, is passionate about living gratefully, and enjoys almost all puzzles and games.

Jakob Bolman (Spring, 2023)

Jakob Bolman currently works as the Grants and Programs Manager at the Natan Fund – a grantmaking foundation/giving circle that invests in early stage nonprofits (and an early funder of Ohel Ayalah!). Jakob graduated from The Ohio State University in May 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, and minors in Entrepreneurship and Jewish Studies. There, he was actively involved with the campus Jewish community through OSU Hillel, Chabad and BUCKiPAC. Jakob previously interned with LEAD Israel and the Jewish Federation of Cleveland, and has consulted for organizations like the Tikvah Fund.
Born and raised in Cleveland, OH, Jakob now lives in the East Village where he enjoys exploring his neighborhood and hosting and entertaining.
